“Christmas in July” Concert Raises Funds to Give Christmas Presents to Peruvian Orphans
In Peru, a country slightly smaller than Alaska, there live nearly 50,000 orphan children. 17,000 of those children’s parents died of AIDS, while 66% (6.5 million) of all children in Peru live in poverty. Child labor, sexual exploitation, homelessness, and teen pregnancies are common threats to disadvantaged kids. On Saturday, July 23, Spring Cypress Church will host a fundraising Christmas in July Concert to support The Buckner Foundation in their work to provide 70 impoverished Peruvian orphans at the CIMA Boys Home in Lima, Peru, with Christmas presents this holiday season.
